I heard great things about Gary Almond too, but his quotes have always been twice as much as the others.

OK, Jeff's story was the one I was remembering. Nothing like a little Christmas cheer.

Your worth every penny Patrick!
Consider a leaky, oily, rusty 62 Caddy above your interior?

Keep in mind damage does happen, so ask yourself...do you want to be chasing an entity like FedEx for your claim settlement, or BillyBob's Texas Auto Shippers?

That was exactly my thinking when I went with FedEx. Let's face it -- a few hundred bucks on the tail end of a venture like this is pretty small. Plus, didn't we recently have a scary thread where one of the delivery guys either not deliver the car, or disappear, or something like that? Or maybe the delivery guy was supposed to deliver the final payment and it "stuck to his fingers" or something.

The wife's uncle bought a 57 Caddy here in ATL, had it shipped to NYC. The driver gets in a heavy verbal fight with the lot owner. All caught on video, the driver was very careless. He caught the driver winching the car up in park. When the car was delivered the shipper called the uncle, telling to get his leaky car off the lot. The auto trans had a broken tail shaft. Very ugly!

I do not know if "Reliable" is still in business, but they have enclosed trailers and resonable prices last time I used them.

Intercity is really out there after business right now with specials being offered on the GT40s and Porsche Forums. I'm sure someone may have had a bad experience with them at some point, but I haven't heard of anything.

They seem to do a lot of work for Wayne Carini. They're always picking up or dropping something off on his show.

About 2 years ago I was quoted $1600. If you are looking for a sweet spf, silver with black stripes, roush 427 with 3500 miles in clear lake let me know. Not mine but a neighbors. Needless to say I would need a small finders fee.
Finders fee???? I thought we were all friends!

I have heard good things about Intercity and Reliable. I chose FedEx because they are one of my largest customers and I know several of the execs. When my car arrived, as Patrick described, it was mostly push-button to get unloaded and the driver was very meticulous. It was in good company with a million $$ worth of cars headed to the 2009 Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale.

Sorry to hear about the split-up. Been there, done that.
Once you get down here, give me a shout: I'm out on the west side in Katy. That's a pretty good stretch from The Woodlands, but we'll have to meet up sometime anyway!

Think out of the box, post an add here, see if someone needs to get a trailer from where you are to Houston. What about 6x12 U-haul, will it all fit in that. How about a car hauler from u-haul. if the body aint paited no worry about chips.
