Burrrrrrrrr! Hope you all are warm and safe for the holidays. The big question today, for me is, do I wear shorts or long pants when I go for a drive in the cobra?
It should be in the mid 60's and sunny so maybe long pants will be the call.
I'm just teasing, at least you all will have a White Christmas....Merry Christmas from Arizona.

Watching the news last night it seems as if you may be in for some more of that stuff. From the map it looked as some of the really bad stuff was going up the East Coast. New York looked as if it was going to be hit pretty hard. Oh well. At least you will have a white Christmas. All be careful and I hope that no one gets hurt during this storm.

I echo what Ron says, stay safe and off the roads if you can....Hopefully its a white Christmas and not a white-out Christmas.
We just got back to Jakarta from Bali and am happy to report, its high 80's in both places.

Default Love This Weather

As I look outside, the snow is azz deep to a tall indian and the wind is steady at 40 mph and gusting to 60. It's even too windy to use the snow blower.
Why am I not at my house in Cape Coral, FL?

Boy do I love snow !!!.... especially when it`s not where I am . Luckily , we only get snow about once every 10 years here , but I did grow up in the Blue Ridge mountains in SW VA ( Roanoke ) and saw a LOT of snow .... and don`t miss it at all .
I remember one year in Waynesboro , VA when it snowed so much my German Shepard couldn`t lift his leg high enough to pee and finally just stood there looking at me with a puzzled look on his face as he "made a hole in the snow " .
Hope everyone gets through it ok and has no major problems .

In Northern CT, not that bad, 5 " to 6" of a very, very, light powder, minimal winds. The CT coast line got the higher amounts, up to 18" to 24 ", pattern was opposite the norm with the interior normally getting the higher amounts. Snow line was in northern MA with Boston and Cape Cod in the direct path. Snow started here late Saturday night, stopped approx 8:00 AM Sunday

The largest mall in West Hartford CT Saturday afternoon had periods with no available parking spaces.

Yes, some CT & New England winter weather, but overall not that bad compared to above 100 degree temps ( but it is a dry heat ), fires, mudslides, hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes, persistent high humidity, etc etc

DOT & Towns , from my travels, were very well prepared. Fortunately, on the positive side, not a work day, easier clean up.

Don't worry, help is on the way. This from an article on V-Dare.

With President Obama barely back from the climate change conference in Copenhagen, his anti-global warming accord is evidently already working its wonders, unleashing a blizzard to blanket the East Coast with snow.

Just hope that he doesn't decide to make the United States the leading example of how powerful he is.

Ron

We got about 18"-24" here on Long Island. I love being on vacation and watching the traffic reports on the L.I.E from the couch.

25.5" was the offical snow fall here in Mt Sinai NY (Long Island). They reported it as the largest 1 day snow fall total. My newest best friend is my neighbor with the 10HP snow blower.
