Truly appreciate hearing from you folks here who know the most...
More details are needed before we can offer you an opinion on current value.

As for real or replica, all AC MKIV's are real MKIV's made by AC. VIN will start with an AK and not a CSX.

Between 1982 and 1995, 494 AC MK IV's were produced with various engines ranging from a standard 4V 302, 302EFI, 351, 289, 427, 428 and "unknown" including rollers. These were broken down into models AK, AKL/Series 1, AKL/Series II

The description in the Registry includes, "The AC MKIV is unique in the world of Cobras. It is not an "original" Cobra and it is not a replica. It is not a continuation of production..."
"The AC MKIV is probably best described as a variation of the Cobra"

Model, engine, options and condition will determine market value.

If you can get hold of the May 1986 issue of Automobile Magazine , they have a large write up and test on the Autokraft Mk IV starting on page 30 .... and the car on the cover . I have that issue . According to them , the car sold new for $47,900 and there were two options available ... a functional hood scoop for $700 and the two white racing stripes for $600 .
Engine and transmission on this car was the high-output version of the 5.0 liter Mustang GT engine , transmission was the Borg-Warner T5 five speed and a Salisbury limited slip differential with a 3.06: 1 gear .This particular car was bought from Pawnee Ford Dealership in OK . According to the article , there were 6 dealerships ( then ) authorized to sell the cars and only 100 cars a year were to be built .
In the article , Shelby , when asked about Ford allowing Autokraft to use the Cobra name said ... " If they do , I`ll sue their a$$es " Sorta sounds familiar ??
Maybe Automobile Magazine has an on line archive that you could pull this article up on as it has a ton of info on the car and the company as of 1986 .
Good luck .
Bob
