209, I'm taking a wild guess here that you haven't had much exposure to "Mr. Happy", the kind of aggression you just read is nothing.

That part I can't recall for sure, Bill. It was 20 odd years ago and I wasn't there long enough to get to know the place at all.

Who is "Mr. Happy"? The name, ah, reminds me of a Robin Williams routine from a few years back...

Cruising the limit down a city street today, and some old guy in a Volvo wagon decides to enter traffic from a side street directly into the center lane---the one which I am travelling, with my headlights on. I had to swerve left to not get hit, gave him some pipes and a shrug (like, "what the hell?"). I don't think he got it. Not even a, "Jeez, sorry man!" from the guy.

It's not the Cobra. Some people are either idiots, or just "not present" while behind the wheel.

Lots of (positive) attention as I rumbled through the Home Depot parking lot today, though. Why do teenagers always want to see you do a burnout (I didn't...).

Although not entirely fair, I have an extreme dislike for Volvo drivers. I've been purposely cut off, sneered at and proudly showed their middle finger ... on several occasions. In most cases I didn't ask for it either. I was in the Z06 as well as the Cobra too. One of these days I'll get hold of one of these a$$holes and I'll either get my butt whipped or end up incarcerated..

I know, I know ... too much pent up animosity..

I actually learned how to drive in my Mothers Valiant. Complete with a in-dash push button transmission! We would rev that slant six up to 3 or 4k and pop it into drive. I'm amazed that the transmission didn't explode...!

Oh the memories, although I never did cross paths with a Cobra back then.

Lol! If you did encounter one at a stoplight, do you think you might have been tempted to do a transmission drop right there just to let him know where it was at?

I believe ya buddy. She was quite a wonderful character and the whole package of fire red hair and piercing green eyes combined with the car and plate is definitely unforgettable.
