Back in the late '60s and '70s when I was racing, at the end of the day we would throw the oily tools in the oil drain pan, give it a swish or two, and the tools and drain pan were clean to go back in the trailer. If you try that now, it leaves your hands white (dried out) and stinking. Now you can't even stand the smell.
