Dog Bites My Sidewall
When my red healer dog was in the garage, he bit the sidewall of my rear tire. A couple of days later, I noticed the tire had gone flat. Well, when I pumped it up, sure enough, the dog had bitten through the sidewall with just one of his teeth.
What makes this tragic, is that it is a 295/50 15" BFG tire with about 3,000 miles on it. I understand that the tire has not been made for over 2 years. I know one thing for sure, I can't find a replacement.
Has anyone been able to patch a pinhole in the sidewall? Years ago, wasn't there a way to vulcanize a patch, like an inner tube?
Will a radial tube be ok in the tire?
Otherwise, if I can't fix, I may be putting the other low mileage BFG tire up for sale.
