I price them on occasion. Starting when they were $500 for a complete crate engine...and again when the 2 local ones went up to $1200 a piece and again when they went up to $2400, last time I checked they were in the $20K+ range.
Oddly they seem to inflate quicker than my wallet/bank account  ...they are beautiful, even though not the most practical.

There is no registry that I know of for the motor. No one knows for sure but the best estimates I have heard are that they made roughly 1100 motors.
