I, for one, hope they do an FIA. Even better, apply the body upgrades to the spec car. Best of all, do an FIA version of the spec car. They do that, and I'll sell one of my other rides and build one.

They posted these mk4 pictures and some details once this topic started blowing up on the other forum. But I think they are still holding something back. They have the body, now's the time.

That would just ensure that we were constantly barraged with cleverly-spun "Cobra for Sale threads."

You are just jealous because my ERA has a better drivetrain than your ERA

That one was so cleverly spun that most readers probably didn't even realize that it was just more sales propaganda....

Regardless of engine, outboard brakes are a better drive train on any ERA.

Bruce, if people could get a chassis from FFR without the body I think you'd have more success moving them. And if that chassis already came with the mods for the 289 tank it would help even more. I suspect much of the problem is you have guys with painted cars that are looking at buying a second body and paying for paint again, plus making mods to the chassis for the tank which creates an unknown for people. That also creates lot of explaining to do at resale time versus a kit that was that way from the start. If you had pictures of complete cars along with detailed pictures of the chassis mods required it may help people get comfortable with the idea and consider it viable. All of this is probably obvious to you but maybe not to the customer. Show lots of pictures, a detailed list of what's involved from a fabrication standpoint, and a list of costs. Remove the doubt and unknown and you'll have a better chance of selling them.

There are no frame modifications. The body fits directly onto a standard mkIII frame. I don't have the funds to buy another frame, that's why I would give a body away to demonstrate that it fits rite onto a standard mkIII frame,(and mkI,II for that matter).Painted and finished, again no $$$. but I myself would rather see a raw body, BEFORE paint, to see how much body work is needed. look close at the one in the pictures, NO SEAMS to repair.
