Title a SPF in Pennsylvania

Greetings,

There is a gentleman intertested in my SPF which is titled as a 1997 Assembled Vehicle.

He's concerned that in PA he'll be required to bring up to emmissons standards as it is not a 1965.

Are there any members from PA with experience/advice on this?

Jeff,

PA will convert your title into a title which reads "specialty constructed" (emissions exempt) vehicle. He may have to go through a safety inspection (lights, horn, suspension check, etc), but that is about it. He will need side pipe heat shields installed if you do not already have them on the car. My ERA went from a 1965 Ford title in Florida to a 2008 "specialty constructed" title in PA without a hitch. I get an annual safety inspection, but carry an emissions exemption (only one inspection sticker instead of two)........
