As far as the original thread question about C6AE-9425-C, the book says the last letter of "C, K or M" is an aluminum "Sidewinder" from a 427 4V, classified as "racing". These pop up on Ebay from time to time in various conditions...

The C6 AE would indicate that it is an intake originally intended for a Big Ford( Galaxies at the time). The 428CJ's have an "O" where the A is in this intake indicating it was originally intended for Fairlanes. From the casting number It would be either a 352/390/428 intake(cast iron),428 PI intake or single carb 427 if aluminum.
As someone mentioned earlier, there is a "G" intake and I have seen some poorly cast letters over the years. Is there any possibilty that is a G instead of a C? A pic would resolve any questions, so until then we are all just speculating on an intake that may be worth scrap value. If it's cast iron, the shipping to the next county would probably cost more than it's value.

Here's what I have with "AX" and "O" for FE's:
C7ZX-A = 1967 GT500, aluminum dual plane, dual 4V carbs
C8AX-A = 427-8V, medium riser, racing
C8AX-B = 427-4V, tunnel port, racing
C8OX-A or C = 1968 GT350, aluminum dual-plane
C8OE-C = '68-'70 428 CJ, SCJ, GT500; cast iron; GT500KR, 69-70 GT500
As I recall, anything with an "X" and many with a "Z" were part of the "Muscle Parts" program back in the day. I do have the original '68 Muscle Parts catalog along with several other Ford publications from those days. If anyone needs something looked up, just let me know...

I ,too, have those as well as each progressing Ford performance group(OHO,SVO,etc.). There is a difference between part # and casting #. You will find ,very often, that there may be more than a single casting number for any given part #.
