Had the same problem a while back. Turned out to be the oil pan gasket on the after market oil pan. Pulled the pan, put on a new gasket with lots of silicon sealer (problem was the pan didn't really fit around the back very well) and reinstalled everything. This time it sealed up just fine and hasn't leaked since. Removing the rear seal from underneath the car without a lift is an invitation to an oil leak.
