I saw a special last night on TV covering a NY Museum of Art exhibit on the exotic race car collection of R. Lauren. There were 12 or so cars there (no Shelbys though) any of which I'd be happy to own. Seriously, although I like the leaf spring street cobras, I'm more than happy with my early CCX S/C. Amazing car.

I love my CCX, but my dream car has always been a 1969 Lamborghini Muira. I got to ride in one in Italy in the late '60s. A beautiful, fast car....way ahead of it's time.

First place: Cobra. And I like the one I have. A lot.
But second place: 1957-8 Ferrari 250 Testarossa.
I'd even take a replica of one, if anyone knows where to find one! Man, that is sex on wheels!

This poor schmuck has to make a tough decision every time he wants to go for a ride. It just feels so much better to WANT. Doesn't it? I mean seriously, what does a guy like this dream about?

Yea, the one on the right is my dream car. I've seen far too many Ferrari's lately, but I guess the Enzo is OK.
As far as an "obtainable" dream car, I've had a thing for the GT-350, as well as a 70's Cuda with 440 six pack.
A car that I had always admired as a kid was a BMW 3.0 CSI touched by Alpina.
The latest generation of the Porsche GT3 would be up there as well. It's "semi-attainable" but I need more lottery tickets!!!

I'm pretty damn lucky, I guess, because I am building the car of my dreams.
We did have a '68 GT500/4sp before we got married. We could not afford to keep it, and had to sell. Always regret giving away boxes of 'spare' original shelby parts with the car.
Aside from that, there's the plan to do a daytona coupe
maybe a 71 cuda

I own or have owned most of my dream cars. However one( maybe 2 ) has escaped me, although I almost got it last year. I am a gluten for punishment , but I like Italian and Ford, so I have always wanted a Mangusta. Something about it's lines and that split rear deck. There was also another Italian/American I liked that came in several names. It was built by Intermechanica( I believe), was front engined and looked ,like many Italian cars, Beautiful. I think it was early on sold as an Omega and later went through another name change or two. I believe the very early ones may have had Buick engines, but I liked the 289 Ford powered ones that were made in the late 60s...I don't believe I can't remember it's name. Front engined nice flowing front end, drop top and coupe if I recall correctly. The local Ford dealer had a couple go through it over the years, back when it was owned by some real car guys.
In 1970 that dealership had one whole showroom set up for just Boss 302s, virtually every color combo you could imagine. I saw the only black with pale white shaker car I have ever seen. I promptly painted my Hi-Po '65 Mustang similarly. Black with eggshell white accents.
addendum; I remembered, pretty funny that I couldn't remember the name of that car...it was an Italia...DOH.

...and ONLY a $33,995 upgrade for the honor of having your already purchased GT upgraded to "Pimp My Ride' Shelby collectibilty. Something rubs me wrong about the car, dunno what it is.

CS isn't going to make the same mistake twice. The difference between collectible cars today and collectible cars of yesteryear is that today, you pay for it's collectible potential up font.

I understand the concept...I own #4 of 250....is it a limted run of cars or build as many as GT500s? I don't see much collectibility in them.
