Based upon my inspection you are right, it is NOT a Contemporary Classic.

The lip of the engine compartment photo is what is throwing me, but yes, all signs point to an early LaExotics/B&B.......

That looks like a 92-95 inch wheelbase ,which should should rule out a lot of makes.
