800 (or near it) HP for less than the price of a 600HP FE crate.

Popular Hor Rodding Jegs Engine Master Challenge: 2009
" As the numbers were crunched for the final score of the final competitor, Kaase had retained just enough score to capture the win with a 2,632.8 to Bischoff's 2,631.4, a spread of 1.4 points. Kaase's unprecedented fourth Challenge win convincingly earns him the title of Engine Master. "

I have all those parts that I can strip off my existing engine.
In fact I would have them delete the oil pan, water pump, intake manifold, carburator, and distributor and see what that does to the price.
I think I may be seeing my Christmas present next year, and Winter project.

Correction
The Boss 9 win at the 2009 Engine Masters was stated to be 3rd place. That is incorrect. It was actualliy third in 2008, then sixth in 2009. Kasse debated about entering the 2009 Boss 9 because rules that year favored a small displacement, out of the lower range of Boss 9 performance. However, this is for extreme race condtions - You can still build a fine street engine with these heads.
The post by Don seems to imply that the Boss 9 won in 2009,which it did not. The winner ( !st ) In 2008 and 2009 was a KAASE CHI Cleveland with something like a 1/4" copper plate head gasket to clean up the geometry
Probably could have skipped this, but I need to pork up my post count..........
