Looking for XKE XJ6 IRS expert
I understood that all brake rotors from about 1970 to about 1984 are the same.
My rotors are drilled with holes roughly 2 7/16" apart and 2 7/8" apart in a rectangular pattern. And there are two additional holes that are 15/16" in diameter. I may be a little bit off on my measurements. I don't use the 15/16 holes as my calipers bolt from the inside(From the pinion side) directly to the diff housing.
I purchased new rotors last week for a 1970 XJ6 IRS and what arrived are rotors drilled with four holes in a square bolt hole pattern of
2 21/32" hole centers.
The supplier states that this is correct and is the only rotor that they carry for 1970 to 1984 XJ6, XJ12, XJS & XKE.
I have seen some photos of Jag Rotors and I can only recall the rectangular hole pattern with the two extra large holes.
Can anyone shed some light, model numbers and series of vehicles that have common rotors and what is the hole spacing?
Would appreciate all help and comments.
