Fiberglass spider cracks (crazed lines)
I have a CR that was built back in 95 and got spun into a ditch. It ended up with minimal fiberglass damage up front. The car is still in primer. I have some cracked fiberglass around the bottom air inlet and some spider cracks on the fender under the parking/directional lights. The cracked or small broken piece I am okay with fixing. The spider cracks (craze lines) I am struggling with. I will back up that area with cloth and resin to reinforce it, but how do I cover/bond the spider cracks? Years ago there was a liquid you could spray on a corvette that capillary action would draw it into the cracks. It was like a water consistency and when cured you would wet sand it. I can not find anything like it around today. Does anybody have processes to fix these fine line cracks? thanks
