How to keep the Cat off your Cobra?

I have a soft cover over the Cobra and while I've done my best to "train" the cat to keep off the beast, I've failed.

I don't want to kill the cat or beat the krap out of it. Well, maybe

I don't think I would get any good suggestions from a cat lover's forum or I would ask them. You gasholes are my best choice.... Any ideas?
