That's awesome..... My girlfriend and I are both in our 40's and still into the Friday night drinkin', dancin', honkeytonk scene hanging with the 20 somethings getting teased about being the old farts. It will feel good to be the youngsters in a group!!!

55 in March this year. Fell in love with cobra in high school when older kid's father bought him a red 289. Father relatively affluent (owned local Lincoln-Mercury dealership), but to his son's credit, I think he still owns it.

59 and building my ERA.

dcdoug 06-01-2010 07:19 PM

40 and had mine for about a year. Realization of a dream I've had since I was 12. That's about how old I feel when I drive it.:D

raclaims 06-01-2010 08:50 PM

39 and glad I didn't get one in my 20s or I would have killed myself driving like the maniac I am

Seagull81 06-01-2010 09:14 PM

65 for me.

Not as old as some of those rocks I saw when I rafted the Grand Canyon (everyone should do that at least once), but definitely about 16 maturity-wise. My goal is to hang on long enough to be over 100 when I drive my Cobra over the hill, seeing those people running around screaming "Look out, here he comes again!" Rich

Hurry, hurry while your in the pink; Hurry, hurry it's later than you think.......

I am a young 41. I have wanted one of these since I saw my first original in BC back in 1988.

Silverback51 06-02-2010 03:55 AM

62 yrs wandering around this blue ball, loving every minute of it.Ignoring (what I can) all the bad, focusing on the good.My toys relect my love for drag racing, thus my choice of big block for CMC Cobra in 93.Am learning age is a state of mind, they say as we age,two things leave us right away, one is our memory and I forget what the other one was.

I just turned 52 and am hoping to have my car licensed by the end of this month (June 2010.) I don't know if it will ever be finished though.

I've wanted one since I saw a picture of a 427 Cobra in 1965 and told my father he should buy one. He didn't...

35, bought the SPF when I was 29, nothing like having spendable income and no kids. Six years later I'm broke, with two kids, a wife and dog...if only someone would have warned me.

Snakebit 06-02-2010 08:20 AM

A lot of young pups. 62 years young!

DANGER 06-02-2010 08:43 AM

Exact reason why I bought mine now :D. While I am married I do not have kids yet but the wife wants to start trying this year so I saw this as a great time to spend some extra money burning a hole in my pocket.

I was born a month before Pearl Harbor was bombed. Saw a Red Skelton piece on the Cobra when it was first being introduced that cracked me up and then decided in 73, when I saw a Cobra in the flesh, that "one of these days I'm going to have one of them thar things". Finally got around to it 6 years ago and haven't looked back.
The only thing left now is to really buckle down and decide what I'm going to be when I grow up.
