Kevin,

I ran the electric VDO gauges in my Cobra .Does your speedometer run off a hall effect sensor? And is it the type that you can change to read correctly when you change tires sizes or gears by just setting it on automatic and driving a mile? Some did and some didn't. I really liked that feature.

Hey Ron,
I don't know what you mean by hall effect sensor ?

Yes, you can reset or change the calibration for any change in wheel & tire size. It makes it easy.

Kevin,

The Hall Sensor is what goers into the transmission and it counts pulses instead of having a cable driven speedometer gear in there. Your gages look like mine except my speedometer went to 160 MPH. Your dash is really well laid out and looks nice.

The sensor had 3 wires to it. A power lead, ground lead and the trigger lead that counted the pulses. The speedometer has a chip that knows how many pulses it should get for 1 mile and it automatically adjusts the speedometer if you change tire size or gears. That feature was what sold me on the VDO gages.
