Well... alright.  A slightly different angle, that allows you to get a feel for the "texture" of the padding and tape. You gotta admit, fetching it indeed is.

I put the roll bar pad on the first time that I open tracked the car and it has stayed on ever since. Required at many tracks but it is a must for the street in my opinion. Its 1" Kirkey SFI approved held on with tie wraps.

Aside from the all important stylistic choice of zip ties versus tape, I have to agree with you -- there's just not too much to it.
