Default What's new at Canepa

DangerousDoug, ShelbyRacer (John) and I made a quick visit to Canepa Design (http://www.canepa.com/) in Scotts Valley after breakfast this morning.

As usual, the staff was really cool and let us wander around the shop area and the incoming/outgoing car storage area.

Here's some pics:

Cobra under restoration (chassis 2433...I think. Just going off of memory which ain't too good ).

Steve McQueen's Siata

New car storage rack in back of building

Lola T160...Nice!!

Don't think that is 2433 as it was in great shape just a year ago and a full slabside. Maybe the owner wanted full race?

Great update, hopefully Canepa will add the 289 car pics to their restoration link. Did you get more pics of that car?

Thanks and great update

Jeff,

I didn't get any other pics of the Cobra. It was kind of wedged in and I couldn't get behind the car.

The owner of 2433 would be Bruce himself. So, whatever he wants, the car gets.

I was showing Mr. Canepa my paint a couple of weeks ago, and he told me he just picked up a 289 with the hardtop/short trunk---a LeMans Cobra. I guess he bought it in Europe, and it's due in shortly. Would be fun to see it after it arrives.

Anyone going to the Capitola car show on Sunday am? I think I might wander down there for a little bit.

DD
