Master cylinder rebuid question

My E.M. has Tilton master cylinders and one is in need of a rebuild. Summit is delivering the rebuild kit today. The instructions call for using "rubber grease" on the cups before installing them. No one locally has even herd of the stuff.
I asked at a local brake shop and they use silicone grease. I do know not to use petroleum based grease.
Should I just wet the cups with brake fluid (not very slippery) or will the silicone grease be OK?
