But I still feel the pain of one that my father let get away:

'69 Hurst Olds convertible (1 of 3 built of which one was crashed and burned up). My father worked at Hurst and it was his company car and he could have bought it for $2,500. Most memorable experience: Getting to drive my big brother’s friends 1969 COPO Camaro that had a 427 motor and 4-speed in it when I was all of 17 years old, up and down Woodward Avenue while I was working as a “Petroleum Transfer Engineer” at the Standard gas station at Woodward and 14 Mile while in High School. Man, what a trip that was!

Looks like a scam to me. I thought the H/O's in '69 had a shorty center console with some kind of crazy dual gate shifter setup...

Thanks, that's pretty cool. Could be his car, but feels like it might be a clone too that the seller is either unaware of or misrepresenting. It's missing a few things that his had, but that might have been left off in a restoration. The shifter boot doesn't look right - those cars had a dual gate set-up, but I do know that my dad said that Hurst made a performance modification to it and a byproduct of it was you couldn't tell what gear it was in visually (so my mom wouldn't drive it). Anyway, I sent the link to him, so we will see.

Lost a 69 Boss 302. It had 36,000 miles on it sitting under a tree for 12 years. Broken rocker arm and left to sit. He wanted $1500 for it. Wanted $100 down to hold it. Had $20 in my wallet. Told him to hold it till I ran to the bank. Got to the bank and called him back. Somebody was already putting it on a trailer. Jim

I sold a 69 Camaro for $2500.00 when i was 20 and was glad to get rid of it at the time. 350ci,auto,posi trac, it was nice. Be worth a little more now.Sold a 75 Trans Am for $1800.00 when i was 18. I had put a 455 in it-- it was quick and super clean - even had a chrome roll bar in it.
