I'd go ahead with the nitrous. If you had to downshift you obviously don't have enough power!! Seriously, I'm glad you're OK. I had a little accident myself yesterday but it involved a set of stairs, a pair of flip-flops, and a very rough sidewalk, on my way to Jenro's.
