Before you can get the outer glass really "clean", you must remove the road film that most cleaners will not take off. Us a wet towel and "Bon Ami" cleanser, scrub hard and then rinse with cool water. THEN use whatever glass cleaner you like.

Also proper prep for Rain-X or Aquapel.
