Congrats on taking advantage of the amnesty program!
I've spoken to old hotrodders about it and they look at me with blank stares.

Congratulations
Rod,
Hadn't heard the outcome, so this is great news. Hope to see you tomorrow and watch you light that beast up.

My buddy was given a replica of a 23T from his dad. The car is registered as a 1923 Ford, and I tried to tell him it is not legal in California but he won't listen. His dad owned the car for a long time and it never caught up with him, I wonder if it will ever come back on his son? Seems like alot of the old hot rodders have no idea about SB100.

Worst case is that the CHP can confiscate the car because of the illegal title. Most likely this won’t happen but I would rather not have to worry about it every time I went out in the car. If your friend isn’t concerned then that’s his business, just hope that someday you won’t be saying I told you so.

So far the answer is no. But my situation is a little different than most. I'm not the original builder of the car and when I bought it I transfered title paid for registation and sales tax and have kept current tags on it even though I have yet to put it on the road. I will let you know if I have to pay more.
