Garry.....I am considering leaving Grundy only because their rate was $720/yr. That included unlimited mileage, agreed value of $65k, 100/300k liability and no deductible. Condon & Skelly represented similar coverages but at $200 less per year. Which is why I asked the question about Condon & Skelly's performance with Cobra owners.

My big hang up is only being allowed to drive to car shows. That's 500.00 per year. 1500.00 per year if I want to drive it around normally.

Double check with C & S
I have had my Cobra insured by C & S for over five years and after reading all the postings I had to call them this morning to verify coverage. I spoke with Jennifer in the customer service department and asked her what they consider "occasional leisure drives". She stated, If you feel like hoping in the car and going for a leisurely drive you are covered! The policy does not cover driving the car for everyday use or if it is used as a secondary vehicle.
I hope this helps everyone! With this said, typically information is only as good as the source. If you talk to several people you may get a different answer. Let me know if you get another answer!

I would suggest to get that in wiriting as down the road, Jennifer may not be there if/when you do need to file a claim..........I would also ask for in writing what does and does not constitute "occasional leisure drives".....
"Occasional Leisure Drives" leaves too much room for individual interpretation should the need arise to make a claim......

State Farm
I am shopping;
I read some of the posts and insurance quotes and have trouble getting the same numbers locally.
While all the quotes I have requested are not in I believe State Farm is my best option.
BIPD-500/500/500
UM- 100/300
MED- 10000
COMP- $100 DED
COLL- $250 DED
6 MOS TOTAL PREMIUM = $ 201.93
That is with a 1000 annual cap, but I an drive further they will just assess higher premium based on how much over it is. They go in 500 mile increments.
The rate can go down significantly if I raise my deductibles. Presently they amount to almost half of the premium at the levels stated above.
agreed value $45,000.
Initially the premium is $285.32/6 mos, but the excess will be rebated once they take my use into account and if i do not exceed the mileage restriction.
Happy Trails,
Glenn
Lookin like some nice weather finally, we're pushing 80F in Carmel Valley this afternoon with warmer weather forecast for tomorrow.
