Default Kwik-Lift

www.kwiklift.com

I love my Kwik-Lift. been using it for 5-6 years now. Really makes brake and suspension work so much easier and safer. If was the perfect comprimise between a 4 post lift and jack stands.

Last December, some parts of it were stolen. Namely the black lift bar and the two front uprights. I suspect they were sold as scrap metal.

I have contacted the company many times over the last three months; e-mail and telephone. At first, they kept promising they would get the parts shipped to me. Now they don't even answer my calls or e-mails. Not sure if they don't want to sell parts, or if the company is going under.

I could probably build the up-rights myself out of heavy steel. The lift bar would be a challange, though. I still have the two ramps. I can use them lying flat on the ground, but that only raised the car about 4-5". Not sure how helpfull that would be.

The company is located in Broken Arrow, OK. I could just drive out there and pick up what I need. But that would cost me about $400 and 2 days driving time. Anybody live near there? Is the company still in business?

Every now and then I see a Kwik Lift advertised on crag's list. But they usually want around $800-1,000 for the complete set up. I don't need new ramps, and that's the most expensive part.

Or, I might just buy a 4 post lift. Crawling around on the ground to do my race prep is really tough on the old legs and back.
