Taxing the "car" or taxing the functional relationship the car has to something else (like interstate commerce)?

Hmmm, that's pretty good. But the FLCT is a sales tax that just happens to be on cars at the time of purchase. It's not a recurring property tax like you pay on your house and, at least in my state, cars as well. But I'll give you partial credit for an otherwise good reply.

Do you pay annual property tax (cars and real estate primarily) to the state, or to the county?

All property taxes, both cars and real estate, are paid to the county or city in which the property resides. The authority for that is vested in the state and statutorily delegated to these "municipal corporations."

Alright, I'll bump you to three-quarters. Want me to buy you a cam, too?

Well that's gonna hurt my GPA.

If you're offering to buy roller cams, then, why yes, thank you very much. I have always thought my roller cam was a bit mild. Never mind. I just remembered the nonsense that you're putting poor Brent through for his SFT cam. I wouldn't want to wear a dress like Brent's. Taffeta was it?

Yes it was. Lavender, in fact. It will look perfect with the Jimmy Choo pumps that I just put in the mail for him.
