since I have never had the pleasure of doing a burnout in my own car or any car for that matter, I thought I would ask the question, it seems my premise is sound since burnouts decidedly shortens the life span of the tire, whereas what I sense is that burnouts are derivative of an innate male need to create a wow factor in a car that arguably has more power that the average dude needs. In other words if ya got it flaunt it. Sorta follows along the same line of why we 'boys" will rev the car when going thru a tunnel, just to make a noise and feel good. Yep, I do believe I got it, now.

They're just fun. Especially when I can follow that up with a couple of tail spinning donuts in the parking lot. Every time I do it, it makes me laugh out loud. Once you try it, you'll understand it.

Yes, it wears out the tires. And.....? Running the engine burns off fuel and makes the side pipes dirty.
