Might I suggest you buy Jay Browns book the Great FE Intake Comparison ....
It might explain what different gains some intakes and carbs have on a motor. As for making it a better daily driver there were never any complaints about the original 715cfm carb....but with your combo you get a few extra "wow's"
when they see a 2x4 setup

Wemozz give Barry at Survival Motorsports a call. I just purchased a set of his vintage 2x4's. they look oldststyle with a nice finish but have the quick fuel adjustable metering blocks. I have not stated the engine yet but everything I have read on the forum about them have been fantastic. 45 year old design brought up to this generation. When I inquired about the CFM sizes at quick fuel, the rep said with two carbs the single carb sizing charts do not work.
Barry sells the carbs and new linkages and can speak to their application to your needs. Cannot get more technical than that right now. I have bungs in the collectors to hook up and AF Meter when I get it running I will see how they work.

Elmariachi and Jon thanks you for the Jay Brown intake book link. Did not know it was out there.

JB
