If I could find a place hear on Oahu, HI to do mine, you should be able to
find a place in CA. Had my headers and side pipes coated for $300 about
4 years ago and they still look great. It is much cooler now and not nearly so
easy to burn the legs - you will be glad you did it.

Make sure that they are perfect. Once you ceramic coat your heaers and or sidepipes any changes or repairs by welding or cutting , the ceramic coating will need to be removed at site of repair and the whole lot done over again. My headers were in two pieces per side. Side pipes were non glass pack type. I had the EM muffler, lobak. and open pipe, side pipes and had all three sets done. All done inside and out. I have SS "V" clamps and flanges for all three sidepipe pairs and turn out pipe.
You want the pipe material as clean as possible. The coating outfit will clean and sandblast to get a clean and ruff surface for ceramic coating to cling to. Once coated and cured they will tumble in media to polish outside surfaces. They will charge more for any out of the norm condition that cause them more work. I had the polished alluminum creamic coating.
