Kirkham to Australia ?

I am in the process of selling my Kirkham. I have a request from a gentleman in Australia for a copy of my registration papers and photo of the compliance plate. I am assuming the compliance plate means the VIN plate. Is this a harmless request or is there a potential for some sort of fraud here? Thanks
