Need Help No brake lights with VW Turn Signal Switch

Please bare with me as I'm a wee bit slow sometimes comprehending how wiring functions.

I installed the wiring for the VW turn signal switch last night and the turn signals and parking lamps work correctly, but i do not have brake lights.
- Brake switch is receiving 12.5 volts
-12.5 volts passes through the switch when the brake pedal is depressed and returns to the terminal that plugs into the dash.

Now this is where i get confused. The 12 volts feeds out of the fuse panel to the switch and when the switch is activated by depressing the brake pedal, the 12 volts feeds back to the terminal at the turn signal indictor. Now, the wiring harness has a wire that provides 12 volts to the indicators when the ignition is in the on position. It connects to a Black wire with Green and White dashes on the VW Turn signal switch. Off of this Black wire with Green and white dashes is a bright blue wire. The power to the bright blue wire is cut when the either left or right turn signals are activated.

What does my return wire from the switch hook up to and how does it work? I assume that the return wire from the brake switch must feed into the turn signal switch somehow so that when the left or right indicators are activated, that particular sides brake light shuts off and the bulb then becomes the indicator instead of the brake light.
