tin-man's question:
Do we talk more about our Cobra's, as opposed to driving them?
I was accused recently of having more posts on this board than I had miles on my Cobra. OK, so I had issues after 78 miles and the Cobra is back with the installers for the final fix from Roush, but that said there is truth in the comment. So I just wonder how many miles members have on their Cobra versus posts.
tin-man has 78 miles vs 1144 posts
If you think this question has merit, please respond, I am curious what the results will tell us. Do we talk more about Cobra's than we drive them?
Cheers, tin-man

Well lamaluv has 568 posts and ERA EXP002 has 33,635 miles. Thats 59.21 miles per post. With 7 owners thats 4,805 miles per owner but only 2,587 miles per year over the 31 years the car has been on the road. Sorry that I made this into a math problem but once I got the paper and pencil out I couldn't help myself
Dick
**** now I have 569 posts so I'll have to recalculate!!!!

Tin-man - I'm still a wannabe, so zero Cobra miles. 289 posts - that number sounds familiar. Whichever way I look at it, it's zero miles per post.
Have to do something about that....sometime....
Cheers,
Glen

Talk and available drive time are inversely proportional. If you don't have a cobra, the one you have is not currently roadworthy, you are away from your car, or the weather is not conducive, then you spend more time talking about it. Hence, your problem Tin-man!

If you makes better tin man. I had about 400 posts when I still had 300 miles on the car for the looooong time it was in the shop. Once you get back to driving you spend less time on the forum posting

I have averaged 5000 miles per year for the 4 years I have owned the car. The original owner put on 4400 miles in the 7 years he owned it.
If the weather in this festering crap hole was better, I would probably double my yearly average.

Fun question, tin-man.
My 670 posts (heavily padded by the Magnesium Wheels debacle), is shared by 3 past and present Cobras, for a total of 4,900 miles.

Well, let's see
I've put about 22,000 miles on my red car and about 6500 miles on theblack car before it's untimely demise. The number of posts is noted above.

88,000+ miles on the Cobra (75,000 by me) with 4922 posts. Quite the Chatty Cathy at times, but still getting 15+ miles per post. I would have more miles on the Cobra, but my Pro Street Henry J is getting all the car show and local hang-out-and-chat miles.
Was out in the Cobra last night for a mid-evening cruise, with about 55 miles from home, along the beach, then back home.
I have owned my Cobra for 9 1/2 years.

Just over 25000 miles that I can account for - I drove for a good while with a dead speedometer when I first got the car

For me ... 0 miles per 1377 posts to date.
That is about to change however, as my Cobra is getting very close to being on the road.
