It is just amazing how the poster "Howard Jones" jumped to conclusions.
"Check out the roll cage and roll over bar"
There is no roll cage on this Cobra installed and the roll bar did the job.
"The driver was walking around after the insident and generally OK.
No names or other information for now. But I hope to prompt a discussion on roll over protection and general safety equip. Buy the way compair this car..."
So what's the fuss?

That is in fact a very old BDR. Can you provide any details on where and when this happened? As always, glad to hear the driver is OK.

Based on the phone number, the tow truck is from Palmdale, CA.

I think he was being ironic. Of course there is not a cage and it appears from these photos that the roll bar did not come into play, I don't see any marks on it.

I'm pretty sure that roll bar is bent, not a lot, but you can see it in the second picture.
In any case, pretty nasty crash to walk away from.

When building my car the roll bar and it's connection to the frame was not compromised in any way.Still always made me wonder with it as low as it is not to mention the windshield frame made of brass.Never slowed me down, maybe the fear of mayhem was part of the adreneline rush.
