Is Club Cobra Performing Faster?
Since I have changed the CPU's, things do seem to be motoring along at a bit better clip....what say you?

Yes
I have optical fiber running here to the house, so I can tell when bottlenecks ease up. It's definitely loading faster.

It used to be down (at least to me) every couple of days, but no more so far. It still takes a few seconds once a page loads to be able to scroll down the page. Perhaps a little faster.

Performing
Hi all,
Can not see much difference. But better as bevor.
Maybe, because its a long way to be along in Spain.
Thanks for your work.

It seems to go a bit smoother, but it could also be that I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

if it's faster it not negligible, i do notice a lack of errors now.
before the server change i would routinely get "no packets to send" errors
and a path error that i don't recall what it was.....
all in all it is better....

This is a great place, and have not been on in a while. The pages load so slow for me, it renders the site pretty much unuseable. I've got an older lap top, but have not had this trouble with older sites. Still the best Cobra place around.
Just so I don't sound like a whiner, I just checked how long it took to download a page. One minute, twenty seconds. I can get other work done while a page loads : ) Hope it is just me.
Thanks,
Rick

Wow!!! Anyone else having page load problems like that? At home or office, the page loads in a couple of seconds for me.

Hey Brent, Rick here. I am using a different laptop and the pages are loading nicely, as you said, just a few seconds. I must be my POS laptop that I use in my office that is slow. It is weird that it does not seem to happen on other sites I use, but it has got to be my computer. I'm on my wife's cheapo compaq, and it is working great.
Hope that helps. Thanks for such a great forum.
Rick

Anyone see any strange issues using Safari on an iPad? From time to time, the same picture will show up along with the post title on multiple threads. I've also seen some other weird stuff going on like images bordering each thread.

Search Feature does not work
Hi Brett: Nothing I put into for a search works, including my csx-4507, my user name (jpetran) or anything else I have tried. It used to work and I have not changed how I use to do it. It is faster. Thanks, Joe
