Default Bendpak 4 Post Lift

Well, after studying and think about it for a couple of years, I recently got my Bendpak HD-9 ST lift.

Wanted to let everyone know that I had a great experience with mytoolguy.com as a dealer and Bendpak directly.

Lift works great; customer service has been A+; for example, I bought the extended steel ramps and the air bottle. The ramps were so heavy (65 lbs a piece) and I didn't like how they hung and could not be quickly removed. The air bottle didn't work that well; rather than fuss with it I decided to just get a 1/2 hp air compressor (works fine).

I wanted to swap the ramps for the aluminum ones and get a refund for the air bottle (kind of expensive anyway); called Bendpak directly and they obliging with no hassles; they are just doing it without turning it into a big project. They are even covering the cost of shipping! Very pleased with them.

By the way, I was told by Bendpak that they were considering making a "Stubby" lift; it is still in development (but sounds pretty close to becoming a reality); dimensions would be ramps of just 120" long, 104" wide, and 65" of clearance; they were interested in feedback and potential interest. I think price would be about the same as the HD-9 (mines was $2800+).

For the record, I have no relationship/special deal/connection to Bendpak if anyone is wondering.

Regards,

Phil (fastd)

Let the flames begin, for a homegamer the cheap chinese for $1400 do great, you dont need a cannon to kill a fly but one can be used.

When I am working underneath a car the last three words I want to see on the frame of the lift is "MADE IN CHINA". I am not rich by far and don't want to throw money on a "cannon" to kill a fly, but I am not going to do it at the expense of getting crushed in a painful death.

Now, can I get one of these lifts to fit in my garage? I am coming up on three project cars in a a 2 car garage soon. I have to see if it can fit!

Thanks for the positive feedback Phil - I will check them out.

Bendpak lifts are made in China. You may want to read post #8 in this thread - http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/ariz...-business.html

My china lift has all grade 1 fasteners, since they are the weekest I am sur they are not counterfit, assuming a 8 k lb load they have a factor of safety of 12.

I think this type of thing is more what people are worried about rather than just the bolts.

So why not post distributor name or brand. The only choice for a home gamer is 4 post in my option. In reality the most you will ever lift is 6 klbs, full size suburbon,

Because is is not a real test, besides that they loaded 10205 pounds on that lift. That is how much 5 1 inch 5x10 ft steel plates weigh

The argument the lift held 10000 pounds - the 205 pounds extra made the collapse has grounds.

I've had a BendPak lift for roughly five years, and have had no problems with it.

I have a 12k Rotary 4 post with the air/hydraulic jacks that slide between rails. More expensive than others but a great lift.
