Default Rear disc question?

Is it ok or can the calipers on the rear be switched and installed on the front of the rear axle instead of the rear? I have a narrowed 9 inch with the T-Bird rear disc brakes.

Thanks a lot,
Byron W.

In most cases you can install them either way. Keep in mind the calipers have to be swapped left to right in order to keep the bleeders up. Other than that, clearance is your biggest issue and must be checked carefully throughout the range of suspension travel.

You may also have to modify the E brake cable pull mechanism to function correctly if the are mounted on the front, but they work well. Check my gallery for photos of such.

Hi Rick,

It looks like your set up came from Currie. Looks just like mine.
Thanks for the response.

Byron
