Protecting Grommets

Can anything be done to protect the grommets around the roll bar from cracking? Material is SBR rubber - just a standard rubber grommet.

I've tried ArmorAll but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Grommets are a couple years old and have tiny cracks all over them
