Default Coil Over Shock Orientation

Howdy folks, was wondering what ya'lls thoughts are on coil over shock orientation. I built my Lonestar with QA-1s but didn't pay any attention to what was up. I just installed them with the piston side down and the rod side up. Now that I am building a Factory Five for some friends I saw where the coil over was mounted with the rod side down and the adjusters pointing up. I also looked on my buddies Nascar Cup car and they have the rod side down as well. Does it really matter which end goes up or does it depend on the manufacturer on their particular seals? Thoughts anyone? Thanks for your time.

If the damper is pressurized, there's a small unsprung-weight advantage to mounting it rod-down.

Body side down with QA-1s. The adjustment knob should be at the top.
