The car you were photographed in is CSX 3042. But the date is wrong, as it didn't get to Chris's shop until 1985. And thankfully, its owner at that time was not an attorney, nor does he plan to become one. And his associate was Robert Garcia.

Yes Robert Garcia WOW,so it was your car at one time?
CSX 3042
Robert was also an amazing mechanic I remember always trying to get him to work on whatever car I had at the time :-)
I was going by the date on the photograph I had a bunch of old photos that got wet I guess that was the kodak date on the back of the one on top of it.
Chris restored a few back then was this one a total restoration that he did, I don't remember? if so has it had a more recent restoration?
It's weird how only certain things stick out in my memory one of the ones he completed while test driving it lost a back wheel on the highway.

Ned, I'm glad I asked the question
Franklin Mint Scale Model Diecast Replica Cars - Page 3
Franklin mint made a miniature of it.
"This car, CSX3042, is regarded by many expert Cobra® collectors as one of the last 427 S/C®s sold, since it remained on the original dealer MSO into the 1970s before being sold to a private buyer. The CSX3042 is also regarded as one of the most original Cobras® in existence, faithfully preserved and maintained by Cobra® specialist, Ned Scudder. Today, this is the classic 427 S/C® against which all others are measured. With its trim and additional details that include the precisely styled headlights, it is among the rarest, most desirable S/Cs ever."
that was so nice of Chris to let me take it for the weekend, beating the pants off everything on the road back in 1985, just kidding :-)

There is something mildly unsettling about, given the copious records kept by SAAC, that we are citing a toy company catalog as a reference.

What Chris and Robert did was do some paint work. Earlier, I had the chassis, suspension, etc. redone at a shop in CT run by another Cobra friend, but we left the blue paint alone. The second owner had removed the white stripes that the car's first owner had on it, so I asked Chris to put them back on, and that was when you saw the car. Fifteen years later it was given a complete restoration, and that's when the gold stripes were applied.

I think if you look at the date on the photo it reads 1987 not 1982
