Default Cargo Craft - Dragster Trailer Feedback?

Looking at a new Cargo Craft - Dragster Trailer (20ft V Nose) and was looking for any feedback any Cobra owners that currently own one (now/past) could provide? Realize it is a mid quality trailer but just wonder if any one has had any concerns, quality issues etc.? Thanks in advance for your feedback.......

the v nose trailers can be a little more aerodynamic, however with any aero good stuff comes the bad stuff--it can cause severe handling problems in cross winds or around semi trucks--the bubble nose like on the Wells Cargo ends up working best

One thing to consider with a trailer with a wooden floor is how will you tie down your car? D-rings through plywood alone are not strong enough. Some method of connecting the tie down points to the steel trailer frame is needed. E-track that is connected solidly to the frame members allows some flexibility in hauling multiple cars and/or differing loads safely and easily. D-rings need backing plates with additional material welded in to tie them to the frame.

Just for the record for later viewers of this thread, Cargo Craft lays the D-rings flush into the floor and back-welds them directly to the frame.

That sounds like it would work fine. Their web site did not specify that, but I would expect it in a trailer designed for hauling dragsters. You have to ask, though. Every manufacturer is different.

Default My trailer History

I have been using my cargo craft dragster trailer for 2 years with almost no issues. I vintage race with CVAR through out Ok and Tx. I did install e-track in the floor as I race a Formula Vee and needed to haul my Cobra also. Only small issue is some paint peeling on nose as I had it painted pewter.
