DynoTom,

A bunch of us Excalibur Cobra owners regularly attend the "Wednesday night Classics Car Show" at Pistol Pete's.

Why not join us and share the pics.

Also, I will gladly get copies made for others if interested.

I work second shift so all those "during the week" car shows I can not go to unless I take a "sick day" or "vacation day"...

But,I will gather all my Excalibur pictures I have up and let you guys see them somehow...maybe I can get them to ohekk and he can make copies for you guys that want them?

I do have or have access to some cool Excal Cobra stuff!

Yes, I remember your car very well.....I always thought your car was one of the ones we built that would be special in the future.....

Just a quick side note on your "side bulge" hood.....that hood took a good deal of extra time to make....the first one was all layed out, molded, finished (with a mold made) and on the car when we found out when the car was in reverse gear the engines intake would hit the bulge....we had to scrap that mold and layout a new hood with a slightly higher bulge to clear the engine....in the end we got it looking good and it cleared it all just fine.....

Well guys I am not an excalibur owner anymore. I sold the car to a local classic car dealer here in St. Louis. It was White with Red strips and I bought it from a Lambo dealer in St. Charles Ill. What a great car I loved it. I stroked it to a 347, with the best of everything and added a taste of NOS. Man she ran. Still does, the owner of the classic car dealer won't sell it. It's his car and he uses it in all of his TV spots. I'm glad it's in good hands.

Spoony...do you remember the MFG# of your Excalibur?

Spoony 04-19-2004 06:58 PM

Ohekk...Unfortunately I don't. I see the car from time to time and could look, where on the car is it located?

If I remember correctly It was built in 96....a dealer bought it for his wife in the Chicago area. He never licensed it and then sold the car to another dealer, who had sold Excalibur's in the past but was not selling them at the time, he sold exotics, mostly Lambos. I was the first to title and license the car. When I got it, it had about 1800miles, when I sold it about 3500miles.

I'll see if I can get you the MFG#

ohekk 04-20-2004 05:56 AM

MFG #

Three places:

- on the drivers side dash right behind the windshield
- on the drivers side door jam
- stamped on the passenger side lower front frame

Hey Tom,

Last weekend I ran into Greg Gensch who has all the parts for the old neo classic style Excaliburs. He was at the Butler Inn car show, and he just bought an Excalibur Cobra in Whitewater. I believe it was # 342. It is a 94 and is all black, no stripes and black interior. He has the same exhaust system as the rest of us and is going to try to come up with a retrofit package. I will keep you posted.

Funny, there were 4 Cobras there, 3 Excaliburs and 1 Classic Roadster.

WE JUST SPENT THREE DAYS IN CARLISLE, PA AT THE KIT CAR SHOW.

GREAT TIME: WE DROVE THROUGH 100 PLUS MILES OF ABSOLUTE TORENTIAL DOWNPOUR. (CAPITAL AREA COBRA CLUB FORBIDS THE USE OF HARD TOPS OR SOFT TOPS OF ANY KIND - IN ANY WEATHER). I DROVE WITH ONE HAND AND KEPT THE OTHER HAND FREE TO USE THE 6 INCH SQUEEGIE (WHICH IS A REQUIRED ACCESSORY WHEN TRAVELLING WITH IDIOTS) FOR USE ON THE INSIDE OF THE WINDSCREEN.

THE RAIN CEASED ABOUT THE TIME WE REACHED THE CITY LIMITS OF CARLISLE AND - WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A T-STORM OR TWO ON FRIDAY NIGHT - THE WEATHER WAS GORGEOUS.

HUNG OUT WITH THE EXCALIBUR GUYS FOR A WHILE ON SATURDAY. WHAT A GREAT BUNCH OF GUYS - - AND ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL CARS. THE NEW COBRAS WILL HAVE THE LINCOLN I.R.S. WITH THE ALUMINUN "PUMPKIN".

IT'S REALLY GREAT THAT THESE TERRIFIC CARS ARE BEING MANUFACTURED AGAIN - - AND BY SUCH GREAT PEOPLE.

Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY.

BLACKJACK 05-24-2004 10:32 AM

SORRY, ALOYS,

I HAD MY CAMERA (NEW SONY DIGITAL) WITH ME BUT I MANAGED TO TEST THE INTEGRITY OF THE PRODUCT BY "STEPPING" ON IT.

IT FAILED.

I PLAN TO DIVERT COURSE ON THE WAY TO OR FROM DVSF TO VISIT THE GUYS IN YOUNGSTOWN. I'LL HAVE A NEW CAMERA BY THEN AND I'LL HANG IT FROM MY NECK ON A STRING - - - - WHICH SHOULD MAKE IT SOMEWHAT MORE DIFFICULT TO STEP ON IT.

Y'AALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY

Thanks for the Pics!

Is there any way to copy those photos over to this thread?

Notice the two different style side pipes...

Excaliber 05-24-2004 10:45 AM

Black and Yellow, DIFFERENCES!

The black car has side markers the yellow does not. What else you see?
