Hey I own a 1993 Excalibur. It is blue with white strips. My vin starts with 1J and ends in 003 yes it is the 3rd manufactured one. Let me know what else you need and I have a listing of just about all the 175 with specs on color etc.

I have a Classic Roadster and I think Gary Rutherford had or let Excalibur start building and selling his cars after Classic went chapter 7. This happened in 1993 after signing bankruptcy agreement in Sept 92. CR could take no new orders (cash) until all backorders were filled. Feb 93 they went Chapter 7. The 003 car is the 3ed car made by Excalibur in 1993 with Excalibur MSO. The doors are different but everything else is the same. Frame has minor differences. When I picked up in Fargo the Phase 1 frame package in Feb 1993 the dude said CR was gone, bankrupt. Leisure Industries formed and then Duchess Capital Management LLC came in 1996, CR was back. Excalibur was soon to be gone, lack of interest in the Neo-Classics and DOT/EPA rules

My car was registered in 2012 as an ASVE on the East Coast and titled as a CR. I have compared the car to registered Excalibur's and don't see a difference. I wonder if the car was registered wrong when completed.

Lots of MSO numbers were used as VIN numbers. All pre bankruptcy CR Cobra MSOs had 4CRDAK prefix. Post bankruptcy are 4KCDAK. Maybe the car was paid for in full, got a pre bankruptcy MSO than shorted the body due to bankruptcy. Some guys got nothing. “Unfilled backorder” was the CR I company motto rite. Some guys bought the Excalibur body’s that they sold, body only, for their CR chassis. I almost did it myself. I think you have a CR with Excalibur body. The Feb 93 CR chassis I have has the seat mount C channel metal installed with short sides facing down. In the few photos I’ve seen Excalibur flipped them over so short sides are pointing up. Excalibur guys check me on this. Here’s pix of 93 CR chassis. Mustang II RCC front suspension, Fox rear end. No donor car is needed

Hello, I'm new to the forum. Just bought 1996 M123102. Blue with white stripes. Fuel injected 302 HO with A/C. 8600 miles. seems to be pretty much stock except cats removed and test pipes welded up and put in. Sounds amazing. Luckily cats came along if ever needed. Seller said the cats made it generate too much heat causing the manifolds to need repaired/welded. Thanks to all who contribute to this forum. It is so helpful.

Hello Folks! I was wondering if anybody had any original Excalibur marketing material.

Specifically the dealer only lithograph?

I am putting together a poster for my office, I will post it up where when I am done but in looking through all of the documentation I have I noticed I am missing the lithograph.

sunman 02-13-2022 03:55 PM

Google up Camalot Classic Cars. They are Excalibur and maybe have some.
