Windshield frame to top frame studs.
I received email concerning a source of the small T shaped studs that fit into the channel at the top of the windshiels to provide studs for the top front frame to grip. I have no way to verify the reliability or quality of the parts, but it seems like a good bet.
"A car owner came to me to have soft top\windshield t-nuts manufactured. I copied a factory sample, made engineering drawings and produced them for him in stainless steel. If any of the owners you know needs these do-dads, I offer packs of 10 for 145.00, I make them when ordered so turn around is usually 2-3 weeks.
 thanks.

The "Cobra - Cobra" picture was taken in North Lake, Wisconsin about a mile from my old house. I've since moved into the city.

I posted an 95 Excalibur Cobra on Ebay. I have enjoyed the vehicle but have no time. It was a rare one that had tubular A-arms and some other extras. I had a body off restoration done a few years ago and had it painted Porsche grey metallic with black stripes. My restoration guy made many improvements to how the body was bonded to the subframe to prevent long term cracking. Noise abatement insulation throughout the floor of the car and in the doors. The car has been made more modern with some accents and the brakes were upgraded substantially. Car is a really good street/show quality vehicle. If anyone is looking for a good Excalibur, this one is it.
Regards,
Brian

 Hi Tom,

 Hope this helps.

Thanks Doug... That's the right one: it has the eyelet on the pedal end and the adjustable threaded rod on clutch fork end. Last edited by ohekk; 06-14-2009 at 07:09 PM..

				 Windshield
 daddy-o,
I believe it uses the same one as most kits and same as original Shelby Cobras. Finish Line has them. I think you can get it complete or just glass. Several of the kit manufacturer will sell them as well. Seems like Shell Valley is one, but make sure it is the common one most use. I understand it is tricky to replace the the glass in this frame as they often crack afterwards. You might want to contact Double Venom (Ed Combs) on the Classic Roadster forum on this site as he builds those cars from scratch and has decades of experience. You could give him a call if you'd rather at 740-852-5280. I am very convinced that the CR II and Excalibur windshields are identical fitment. Here is the glass info sent to me by Aloys in Germany when he had to replace his:
 XXX Triplex Laminated
DOT 17-M101-AS1
E11
43 R-0076
Pilkington
Made in England

I have a registry of these cars and owners as well as info on parts sources and repairs. Contact me at mduke8@gmail.com and I'll send you what I have. I'd also like to know more about yours to add to the list.

Mike
