Default The Southern Californa Cobra Community Has Lost a Member and Friend...

It is with a very heavy heart that I post this from the Ventura County Star Newspaper...

A Woodland Hills man, 28, died Sunday morning after a single vehicle collision the day before in Camarillo, officials said.

Scott Lomonaco crashed Saturday about 2:40 p.m. near south Highway 101 and Dawson Road, officials said. The vehicle spun out and rolled down an embankment, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Lomonaco died at 11:52 a.m. at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office.

An autopsy is expected to be conducted on Monday, authorities said.

This is all we know at the present. I am sure that the community will keep us updated as more information is reported.

Scott, you are at peace with your father now. May God bless you both!

For those of you who didn't know Scott, he was a very remarkable young man. Very well liked and involved in the car community. He was my friend and I'm going to miss him. Just a couple weeks ago he and his best friend Matt were helping me with my car and getting it ready for the Lomonaco cruise in honor of his Dad who passed away 4 years ago. Scott was only 28 with so much life still ahead of him. Rest In Peace my friend!!

The tragedy is immeasurable for the Lomonaco family, my heart is breaking for them again.

We in the Socal Cobra community were so very fortunate to have known John and Scott, a father and son. It was a great privilege to have had them in our lives and shared our passion with them, albeit for far too such short a time. They were the best of people and our world is less without them.

Scott,
As it was with your dad, I will cherish the conversations we had. Laughing about, all-nighters, our girl friends, weekends in Las Vegas and of course our Cobras. I will miss your fire and youthful enthusiasm. I will greatly miss your knowledge and depth of experience that was far greater than your age.
Please tell your dad hello for me and know that your friends will celebrate you both.

Your friend,
Jason
