If you're keeping the 3'73s then the .64. If you're also going to a better final drive, like under 3.5, then I'd say the .82. Another consideration that I made was the fact that I wanted to be able to track the car. Considering that it worked out beautifully and I'm running 3.46 gears. With this set-up I have great accelaration in all gears and OD doesn't feel like my torque fell off a cliff, it just feels like the next logical shift RPM drop.

I agree. 3.08 with a WR TL. That combination is geared like a five speed without first gear. So much torque available with a 454 that a highish first is an advantage rather than a hindrance, and it would be cool to wind out to close to 60mph (easily) in first.

If you are doing as much highway as street and backroad, you may want to consider the .64 fifth. Depending on your setup, it may rev a bit too high on the highway for your liking. Work the calculator numbers and it will give you a great sense of your revs.

BTW Doug, #2632 sold and departed on to a former SPF owner who now lives in Wisconsin. There is a big empty space in my garage and my heart...but I am happy of the future plans for the car. I may keep posting from time to time just because I loved that car so much...and the people associated with them are a great group.
Eric - Congrats on the sale of your car! It was your first Cobra, but I'm sure it won't be your last. Don't be a stranger.
