Now this is ridiculous!!!!!!!
Just called one of the big suppliers of the Autolite Sta-ful batteries used in restorations.
I wanted to buy a new set of battery caps to spruce up an old Autolite battery which will used for display purposes.
Well,
unless I bought one of their batteries within the last 2 years and
can show a receipt/proof of pruchase and
from one of their approved sources,
they won't sell me any caps.
So if I had a battery less than 2 years old and had lost a battery cap (I've heard of people stealing them at car shows) but had no receipt, I'd be out of luck.
They suggested I buy a new battery.
Now that is ridiculous!!!!!!!!
