Default stripes

Could you give info on the horizontal stripes that go across the hood and fenders? Any pictures or dimensions. I have a black superformance cobra and wanted to put the stripe across not down the middle. Team stripes if I'm not mistaken are across the driver fender and there are two short stripes. Thanks for any help.
Bob

The ERA website has some pretty good info on the stripes. Check this link out:

I use 2 inch vinyl tape and guessed at an angle that looked appealing. Look at pictures of cobras with team stripes and you will have a good idea. Check out my pictures under "Lou's pictures"

I think the term "FIA stripes" used to go across both fenders and the hood, whereas "team" stripes were used just on the left fender for easy identification by pit crews for multi-car teams, withj cars the same color.

I have seen both ways done on Cobra's and either way, I like them. Color is your choice, based on a good contrast with body color, although I know yellow is often used to designate a "rookie" driver..

Thumbs up Stripe on nose

Here's a picture of my SPF1938, yellow stripe across nose. Four inches wide and 1 inch below the front hood seam.

I was told this is the first one painted like this from the factory, circa 2004.
